ICON is the global leader in hepatology and MASH clinical development. As a leader in imaging-based quantification of hepatic biomarkers of MASH, we strengthen your trial with unparalleled experience and global operational support. Our scientific expertise and experience in MASH imaging trials provides the relevant biomarkers and best practices needed to drive your programme forward, and ultimately make treatment options available to patients faster.
We have medical imaging expertise with specializations in multi-modal image acquisition (MRI-PDFF, MRE, MRS, CT, Ultrasound and DXA) and processing expertise in MASH and obesity assessments. Our study teams provide quantitative imaging analyses for liver disorders such as metabolic (dysfunction)-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and MASH, with liver endpoint measurements including hepatic fat and stiffness assessments as well as liver and spleen volumes.
We collaborate with experienced radiologists to provide comprehensive imaging solutions that can provide non- invasive evidence of drug efficacy. Incorporating such non-invasive imaging biomarkers at an earlier phase of study provides more timely insights into the efficacy of the drug under consideration.
Delivering benefits to your MASH trial:
– Expertise in multi-modal image acquisition: MRI-PDFF, MRE, MRS, CT, Ultrasound and DXA
– Robust site certification using Calimetrix PDFF and standardised MRE phantoms
– Documented site training & robust quality control (QC)
- Phantom data collection, QC and processing
- Image collection, QC and processing
– Expert in-house quantitative processing, leveraging external vendors as needed
– Quantitative assessment of segmental liver fat, liver stiffness, and volumetric assessments of visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, intra/inter-muscular fat, muscle, liver and spleen
– A panel of central readers and key opinion leaders
– Access to ICON’s wealth of knowledge and experience across MASH trials
